What will the home stereo sound system be like in the near future?

Like now only more so. Most people will befooled into buying plastic 2160i or whatever “multimedia” systems with harsh grainy opamps playing into plastic speaker cabinets. Few will continue to listen to good sources playedthrough amps designed for audio into speakers where the cabinet costs about the same as the drivers.
